family law
This area of law is quite robust surrounding family structure and relationships. At our office family concerns and decisions are handled promptly and given the time or urgency required. We handle a wide range of agreements, from prenuptial to separation agreements and parenting arrangements.
Everyone’s family structure is unique, and our aim is to resolve matters through collaboration and cost efficiency. Divorce can be daunting, but our roots are sturdy as we guide you through this process.
wills & EstateS
This area of law can be quite overwhelming as often at times, individuals are unsure of how to adequately prepare and provide for their family upon death. At our practice we focus on guiding you through the appropriate estate plan to ensure your Will, Power of Attorney and Representation Agreements are in order. We ensure that provisions of your Will adhere to the requirements under the Wills, Estates and Succession Act (WESA) of BC.
WESA mandates that individuals have a moral and legal obligation to fairly provide support for their spouse and children upon death. Without such instruments in place your estate can be entangled in lengthy ligation claims, and at our firm we detangle and ground these claims for good.
immigration
In this area of our practice, we cover attainment of Citizenship and Permanent Residency through Refugee Applications and Humanitarian and Compassionate Ground Applications. We complete claims for Temporary Resident Visas - study permits and post-secondary work permit applications. Our objective is to aid newcomers to settle, integrate and work in Canada.
We have gone through the immigration system ourselves, and we understand common concerns, what is missing, what is needed and what is required to make Canada your home. We are rooted in truth and do not over promise but help you go through the precise steps in obtaining the legal right to live, work or visit.
REAL ESTATE
In a competitive and unsteady market, we provide a blanket of knowledge and review all proceedings and polices in the contract of purchase and sale. We ensure procedures are followed during acquisition or sale of property. All documentation are prepared and reviewed extensively before anything is signed.
With various paperwork involved during residential transactions, overlooking small details can cost a fortune. As a result we focus on these details to ensure a smooth closing date is attainable for both buyer and seller.

During her time in Canada, she completed the Alternative Dispute Resolution course along with obtaining her Paralegal Class P1 License from the Law Society of Upper Canada (now Law Society of Ontario). Shortly after she made her way to the forests of BC in 2017 in an attempt to escape the blissful winters of Ontario.

Operations Manager/Paralegal
MONIQUE DAVIS
Monique’s extensive industry experience, driven organizational vision and strategic leadership plays a vital role in managing the internal operations of the firm, in conjunction with building trusted relationships with our clients, partners, and affiliates.
She obtained her Bachelor of Law degree in Jamaica in 2014, where she was awarded the highest achiever in Succession Law and Company Law. The centre of Monique’s belief is that although the customs, policies and rules of laws are standard; people’s concerns, experiences and identity are unique, and they should therefore be treated as such.
In warmer months, Monique enjoys kayaking and you can typically find her by a lake or river with her chair in the water, reading a book. During the colder months, she is cocooned away on her couch reading more books.
